Some Spurs fans on social media have laughed off Harry Kane’s claim that he handled the speculation over his future well during the summer.
Kane was heavily linked with a move to Manchester City all summer and according to reports, the striker even allegedly put pressure on Spurs by not reporting for pre-season training when he was expected to.
In the end, the move did not materialise and the 28-year-old has looked a shadow of himself this season, having found the back of the net just once in the Premier League so far.
When asked about how he coped with the transfer saga, the striker insisted that he thought he dealt with it quite well and that situations like these were part and parcel of being a big player.
Needless to say, the comments have not gone down well with some Tottenham fans on social media, many of who pointed to the striker’s poor goal return so far this season as evidence that he is in fact not coped well with the speculation.

Spurs Web Opinion
There is no point in fans getting wound up at these comments as Kane has always been the type of person to give sanitised and politically correct answers to the media.
The 28-year-old is likely never going to admit publicly what actually transpired between him and Levy during the summer.
