BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will beat Aston Villa on Saturday.
He told BBC Sport Online: “Tottenham were really good against FC Twente on Wednesday. You have to applaud Harry Redknapp and his side in the Champions League so far – they have basically stuck to their guns and gone for it.
“None of this playing-for-a-draw stuff, they’ve gone out to Werder Bremen and then again against Twente to play football and win the games. Occasionally that approach might see teams come unstuck but at this stage it doesn’t matter because I think Spurs are going to win enough games to qualify.
“As for Villa, they are also on the back of a win – but it’s a little different given they were hanging on at the end against Wolves last week. Had Wolves had a bit more about them up front, they could have got a draw at least.
“It will take time for Gerard Houllier’s philosophy and his tactics to bed in at Villa. With that in mind, I see Spurs getting the win.
