BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham will beat Wolves tomorrow.

He told BBC Sport Online: “Tottenham are regarded as a top team now so every game for them this season is going to be a battle as opponents will lift themselves for these big matches.

“Wolves have slipped up a couple of times lately and were beaten by Fulham last weekend when they probably just lost a bit of concentration which will drive manager Mick McCarthy mad.

“It’s a Tottenham team that can change the side from game to game as their squad is so good and even though they slipped up at home after their last European game against Wigan I don’t expect them to do that against Wolves.

“Spurs played on Tuesday in Germany and it is still early enough in the season for them to recover.

“Prediction: 2-0.”

  1. We owe them for last season… I hate teams that play anti football! Ie 10 men behind the ball defend deep, hit em on the break..with a bit of luck they might get a couple sent off for trying to kick us off the park! COYS

  2. This is a game where we need to be patient and have the skills to unlock what are going to be tricky and frustrating opponents – I think this is going to be another Wigan type game. What we need is goals and from our strikers, so whoever plays needs to hit the net. Would be very nice to see Keane and Pav start and bag a goal each and get us 3 much needed points.

  3. This is a game where the players have to show fight, resolve and tenacity. I am not so confident- spurs still have an under belly of softness that teams can exploit. When things get into a rut- few players have guile to get us out- but one player who will help is Van the Man- I tip him to be great at the Lane.
