Lawro predicts Spurs to draw at Stoke

BBC football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will draw at Stoke on Saturday.

Last time out, Lawro incorrectly predicted that Spurs would beat Man City 2-1, when it ended as a 0-0 draw at the Lane.

He told BBC Sport online: “Striker Kenwyne Jones may be fit to play for Stoke after being stretchered off during the 2-1 loss to Wolves with an ankle injury. He has huge talent and on his day can be unplayable but why did Sunderland boss Steve Bruce sell him? It is make or break for Jones this season.

“I was in Berne on Tuesday to see Tottenham lose 3-2 to Champions League rivals Young Boys. Spurs did not look great defensively, although the artificial pitch did not really help them, and I expect Stoke to give Michael Dawson and co another thorough examination this weekend. One or two Spurs players may have more of a focus on the return with Young Boys, too, so this one will end all square.

“Prediction: 1-1.”
