BBC Football pundit Mark Lawrenson has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will beat Birmingham City on Saturday.
Last time out, Lawrenson incorrectly predicted that Spurs would draw 1-1 with West Ham, when it ended up as a 2-1 win for Harry Redknapp’s side.
He told BBC Sport Online: “I love the fact someone asked Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp whether he could compare the current team to the double-winning team of 1961 – they’ve only won three games!
“Yes, they will challenge the top six and yes, they have the makings of a good team.
“I do think they will beat Birmingham, who got a point last week and were fortunate against Portsmouth.
“Verdict: 3-1.”
