Leceister City set staggering world record fee for Tottenham target

Tottenham Hotspur will surely be dipping into the transfer market this summer, after going over a year without signing a player.

Spurs became the first Premier League side in history not to sign a single player over ran entire season this year.

The last player Spurs brought in was Lucas Moura way back in January 2018, with the sale of Mousa Dembele being the only transfer activity this time around.

One area in which Tottenham could strengthen is in the full back positions, with Trippier and Aurier both looking suspect at times, and Davies and Rose not getting any younger.

If it’s a left back Tottenham want, they may have their eye on Leicester and England man Ben Chilwell, a full back who has come on leaps and bounds over the past season (Telegraph).

However, according to the Telegraph, Leicester would demand a fee of £75m for the defender, the same world record price Liverpool paid for Van Dijk.
