Tottenham defender Ledley King does not believe it is time to hang up his boots just yet.
According to whispers, Ledley will be offered a new deal if he makes 20 appearances this term – he is currently on nine.
There is no doubt that Ledder’s has been a key part of our 10 match unbeaten run, he adds a lot more composure to our defence and Younes Kaboul really does benefit playing alongside the 31-year-old.
Despite his chronic knee problem and the fact he does not train at the same intensity as the rest of the lads – King is determined to carry on playing.
“I can play next season,” he said in the Daily Mail.
“Every player knows that their body will tell them when it’s time to pack it in. Mine isn’t, at the moment. There are a lot of games left in me.”
King will always have a place in the hearts of the Spurs faithful and based on his current form, he isn’t ready to hang up his boots.
