Ledley King reveals what he found strange Tottenham’s draw with Brentford

Ledley King has admitted he was surprised by Tottenham’s lack of cutting edge in front of goal after being held to a goalless draw against Brentford on Saturday.

Spurs suffered a setback in their pursuit for a spot in the Premier League’s top four as they produced a flat display in West London.

It was the second game in a row where Spurs failed to have a shot on target as the front three of Harry Kane, Heung-min Son and Dejan Kulusevski were stifled by a threatening Bees side.

The result has left Antonio Conte’s men playing catch-up to rivals Arsenal, who beat Manchester United earlier in the day to open up a two-point gap between both sides.

And Tottenham’s bluntness going forward is strange according to King, who claimed the club’s attackers are currently not connecting as well as they have been in previous games.

When pressed on the matter, he told Premier League Productions (23/04/22, 7:20 pm): “That’s very surprising, considering the striking options they have on the pitch.

“But they aren’t making the right decisions, at the moment, in the final third. They aren’t making the right passes.

“It has been strange and they have been really, really poor going forward.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It seems like teams have figured Spurs out recently and nullified what was a very threatening front three a few games ago.

They are paying extra attention to that front line as they know that is the major source of goals, so if that is stopped then a result will be on the cards for them.
