Ledley King sings the praises of Tottenham transfer target

Ledley King has praised the talents of one of one of Tottenham Hotspur’s rumoured transfer targets ahead of the window closing on Thursday.

The Spurs legend has described Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon as a ‘really good talent’ and believes that he would be a good addition to Mauricio Pochettino’s side.

Sessegnon is within the last year of his contract at Craven Cottage and has already told the club that he will not pen a contract extension whilst having his heart set on a move to Spurs (Guardian).

The England Under-21 international missed Fulham’s opening Championship match of the new campaign with a hamstring issue (The Mail).

Despite being just 19, he made 35 Premier League appearances for Fulham last season and already has racked up 120 appearances for the club (Metro).

Danny Rose’s future at Spurs is still uncertain after he was left out of the club’s tour of the Far East to discuss a possible away from the club (Spurs official), with a move failing to materialise he has since come back to feature in pre-season.

Rose has been linked with a move to the likes of PSG (Guardian) and with the French transfer window not closing until August 31st, he could still leave even after the Premier League kicks off this weekend (talkSPORT).

King told The Mail: “He’s a really good talent,” ”

“He’s done really well at Fulham in the Championship and then made the natural step up into the Premier League and done well.

“He’s obviously a talented young player – we’ll have to wait and see, there’s a week left in the transfer window and I’m not sure what will happen.”
