Ledley King takes to Twitter to pay tribute to Mauricio Pochettino

It has been an absolute whirlwind couple of days for Tottenham Hotspu fans after the club decided to part ways with Mauricio Pochettino and replace him with Jose Mourinho as the new head coach.

The swiftness of the appointment took many people by surprise and there has been some excitement building around the beginning of Mourinho’s era at the club.

However, Pochettino’s sacking has still left many disappointed and wishing that things could have worked out differently.

Many fans, pundits and ex-players have lauded the work that the 47-year-old has done in transforming Tottenham during his five and a half years at the helm.

Tottenham legend Ledley King also was among the many who took to social media to thank the Argentine for bringing the glory glory nights back to N17.

The former club captain, who now serves as a Spurs ambassador, posted the following message after Pochettino’s departure:

It says a lot about the job Pochettino has done at Spurs that almost everybody associated with the club is sad to see him go despite the team’s terrible performances so far this campaign. While Pochettino would have been given time to rebuild in an ideal world, it was looking like the season would be a write off if if hadn’t been removed.
