Ledley King takes to Twitter to react to Tottenham’s win against Southampton

Tottenham Hotspur ended a run of three matches without a victory when they managed to edge past Southampton on Saturday.

The ten men of Tottenham ground out a spirited 2-1 win against the Saints which they certainly did not make easy for themselves.

Having taken an early lead through club record signing’s Tanguy Ndombele’s effort, Spurs were reduced to 10 men after Serge Aurier picked up two yellow cards in the space of four minutes.

Aurier became the first Tottenham player to be sent off in a Premier League home match since Kyle Naughton against Stoke in November 2014

Fortunately, the Ivorian’s two moments of madness did not backfire and refreshingly after a difficult start to the season, the Spurs players managed to hold their nerve and get the win.

Former Spurs defender Ledley King took to Twitter after the match to praise the players whilst also giving a special mention to the White Hart Lane faithful.

Opinion

King is right the praise the ten men who secured the three points, it was refreshing to see the players show some heart and fight after a frustrating start to the campaign.
