Leeds United have revealed that they have rejected two bids from Premier League clubs for Fabien Delph.

Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Everton and Aston Villa have all been credited with interest in the England Under-21 midfielder, who is valued at £10million by the League One side.

“We’ve had two bids from Premier League clubs over two weeks ago that we turned down,” Leeds boss Simon Grayson told Sky Sports News.

“They were nowhere near the target of the realistic aim that we are looking to receive, but I know that could change at any time.

“That’s football for you.

“As long as he’s contracted to us he’ll show and perform like he has done all over pre-season, but obviously we’re aware anything could happen as well.”

  1. MR LEVY PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE GET THE TRANSFER`S CONCLUDED EARLY REMEMBER LAST YEAR HOW WE LOST OUT ON TOP PLAYERS , THE TOP PLAYERS ARE GOING TO COST LOOK HOW MAN CITY ARE BUYING UP ALL THE BEST PLAYERS HOW ON EARTH ARE WE SUPPOSED TO BEAT A TEAM LIKE THAT , SO THIS TELLS YOU WE MUST BUY AS QUICKLY AS POSSIABLE THE BEST AVAILABLE STOP FECKING AROUND LEVY OR WE WILL BE STARING RELAGATION IN THE FACE ONCE AGAIN , ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY THE PLAYERS ARE MERCENERIES THEY WANT TOP DOLLAR IF YOU DON`T BUY THE BEST YOU ARE DONE FOR !!!!!

  2. Daniel Levy ONLY CARES ABOUT MONEY! Levy doesn’t care about how the team does….only profit. One day we’ll be free of his mizerly influence and poor decision making. He’s a penny picker and has absolutely no vision for Spurs…only how to make MAXIMUM PROFIT. He’s our curse.

  3. Will the previous two posters pack up playing Championship Manager and spend 3 minutes in the real world?

‘Levy’ as you put it, has placed millions of pounds at the disposal of our managers and transfer dealing staff only to end up with players like Bent, Bentley, Kaboul & Boateng. We’ve spent more in the last 3 seasons than probably Arsenal, Villa & Everton combined and achieved exactly what?

We need a season of calm sustained growth & that will NOT be achieved by throwing an imaginary chequebook around. HR knows the players to buy – After all, he bought Palacios, much to the ire of most on the web, only for him to turn out to be the player we’d missed for 10 years.

Stop throwing your toys around and understand that we can’t compete with CL clubs or have the finances to blow £200k per week on ridiculous wage demands. We only have a ground capacity of 34,000 so where will these wages come from?

I always love this notion that you just need to pick up the phone and say “Oh hi, Ronaldo, it’s Daniel Levy here – We’ve got £80 million if you fancy a game at the Lane” and he’s going to leap at it.

  4. agreed. The two 1st posts are idiotic, levy could off handled couple dealings better in past but he has got spurs interests there i beleive. All he needs to do is trust harry and he will do the rest!

  5. As a Leeds I think Delph would be a good buy for anyone he has real talent. But the comments about Levy have made me smile, I dont suppose you want to swap him for Bates do you? I’ll pay the train fare.
