Leeds United owner comments on Spurs’ under fire Mourinho

Leeds United owner, Andrea Radrizzani, has revealed his admiration for under-fire Tottenham Hotspur boss, Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho has come under a lot of criticism over the past few months amidst Tottenham’s struggles.

A top-four finish now looks extremely unlikely for the North Londoners after their 2-2 draw against Everton on Friday and Mourinho’s days at the club look numbered if reports are to be believed.

Football.London’s Alasdair Gold has claimed that there is an increasing belief that the Portuguese coach will not be in charge of the club next season.

Some Spurs fans on social media were certainly not shocked by the news, with many now looking at the Tottenham boss’ sacking as inevitable.

Many have questioned over the last few years whether Mourinho still has what it takes to compete at the top level and, if the 58-year-old is to be relieved of his duties by Daniel Levy, that is only likely to add to the experienced coach’s growing chorus of critics.

However, Radrizzani still seems to rate Mourinho highly, with the Leeds owner naming the Spurs boss among the coaches he is most inspired by.

He told CalcioMercato: “There is no leader who has particularly inspired me: I have more than one.

“Strictly on the pitch, Bielsa and Guardiola, who inspire through their football ideas.

“But I also admire the leadership of Mourinho or Conte because I like their way of inspiring while always staying focused on their goals”.
