Leicester City handed significant injury blow ahead of Spurs clash

Tottenham have received a huge boost ahead of their clash with Leicester City tomorrow evening after the Foxes have been hit with injuries to some of their key players.

Leicester got their form back on track against Sheffield United with a 2-0 victory on Thursday, however, Brendan Rodgers delivered a big injury news blow after the game (BBC).

Ben Chilwell (foot), James Maddison (hip) and Christian Fuchs (groin) will all miss the trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with respective injury issues (Leicester Mercury).

Rodgers’ side are still fighting for a spot in the top-four and are only ahead fifth-placed, Manchester United on goal difference (PL).

With Champions League football the target, the Foxes cannot afford to drop any more points as Manchester United have returned to football post-lockdown in impressive form.

To add to the Foxes concerns, Ricardo Pereira out and Caglar Soyuncu are both ruled out of the North London trip through suspension while Marc Albrighton (hip) is a doubt.

Spurs Web Opinion

This is a huge boost. Four hugely important players for the Foxes this season in Chilwell, Maddison, Pereira and Soyuncu are all missing. They still have some extremely dangerous players, however, we must make the most of this advantage.
