Some Spurs fans were left concerned after Jose Mourinho revealed that Harry Kane is not expected to be back in action for Tottenham until the Premier League visit of Leicester City on the 9th of May.
The club confirmed last month that Kane underwent surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring last month and that he was not expected to return back to training until April.
Kane has travelled to the Caribbean for warm-weather training in order to speed up the recovery from his hamstring injury, according to a report in the Daily Mail.
The report suggested that the 26-year-old could be fit enough to start running outdoors from next month which made some Spurs fans optimistic of an early return for the striker.
However, Mourinho has told Football.London that returning for the clash against Leicester on the 9th of May is the best-case scenario for the Spurs number 10.
Some fans were worried that Kane would once again be rushed back from his injury and not given sufficient time and rest to recover fully.
Harry Kane forever getting rushed back from injury too early. Let the man heal. In danger of becoming a Sturridge/ Welbeck. https://t.co/63ByyJKus1

Don’t rush him. Last thing we need is compounded injuries

he needs a proper rest no rushing him back

Rushing Kane back from injuries and then getting no offseason rest because of a major international tournament has never been a problem in the past, so why start to be cautious now? https://t.co/l2LcLUXkwW

harry kane's ligaments are made of gelatin as is, rushing him back as per every time he's been injured previously will not help

Kane's decline is gonna be worse than Torres and Michael Owen at the rate he is rushing back.
If he had any balls he takes the whole season and Euro's off
No one remembers Rooney's England record but everyone knows Shearer Would be ideal for Spurs if he retires international

Think everyone knows the truth that Kane will make sure he’s fit for the euros, we want him to take his time but that’s not his mentality. https://t.co/vmiYTchZjr

Must not be encouraged to rush back in my opinion. Take the rest of the season and the summer off. Be fighting fit for August. https://t.co/s7aZMk4lOv

Can he just skip the euros please i need him 100% for next season and we won't hear any slander in the summer. https://t.co/AcFamPqzti

Spurs Web Opinion
The fact that we failed to land a striker last month means that Kane will almost certainly be bought back straight into the side. Signing a centre forward would have allowed to eas him back in. Regardless we know what Kane’s mentality is like and there is no doubt that he will be doing all he can to make himself available for the final few games of the season.
