“Let the man heal” – Some Spurs fans are concerned following Mourinho’s injury update

Some Spurs fans were left concerned after Jose Mourinho revealed that Harry Kane is not expected to be back in action for Tottenham until the Premier League visit of Leicester City on the 9th of May.

The club confirmed last month that Kane underwent surgery to repair a ruptured tendon in his left hamstring last month and that he was not expected to return back to training until April.

Kane has travelled to the Caribbean for warm-weather training in order to speed up the recovery from his hamstring injury, according to a report in the Daily Mail.

The report suggested that the 26-year-old could be fit enough to start running outdoors from next month which made some Spurs fans optimistic of an early return for the striker.

However, Mourinho has told Football.London that returning for the clash against Leicester on the 9th of May is the best-case scenario for the Spurs number 10.

Some fans were worried that Kane would once again be rushed back from his injury and not given sufficient time and rest to recover fully.

The fact that we failed to land a striker last month means that Kane will almost certainly be bought back straight into the side. Signing a centre forward would have allowed to eas him back in. Regardless we know what Kane’s mentality is like and there is no doubt that he will be doing all he can to make himself available for the final few games of the season.
