Tottenham have been linked with a whole host of left backs recently including the likes of Ben Chillwell, Kieran Tierney and Ryan Sessegnon.

It is understandable why Pochettino’s men are seeking for an upgrade in the position, as it is looking less and less likely that Danny Rose will return to best due to his injury troubles and Ben Davies does not pose enough of an attacking threat.

Among the names that the Lilywhites have been linked with is Ajax left back, Nicolas Tagliafico. The 26-year-old has caught the eye of many potential suitors with his performances of the Dutch giants this season.

The Argentine was one of the players who shone during Ajax’s sensation 4-1 win over Madrid at the Bernabeu. It is claimed that the full back is attracting interest from Spurs, Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Real Madrid, and Barcelona.

Now the player’s agent has said that his client has rejected a contract offer from Ajax and that he is open to a summer move.

Speaking to Muy Independiente Radio, Tagliafico’s agent Ricardo Schlieper said, “Ajax made an offer, but it wasn’t accepted because it’s the right time to take a leap. Let’s see what happens in the market.

“There has been no talk of numbers with Ajax, but they will ask for a significant amount – I think it will be more than €20 million.”
