Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy has insisted that Mauricio Pochettino’s future remains at the club.

Pochettino’s transformation of Tottenham has seen the Argentine linked with managerial roles across the continent, but Levy who was speaking at the club’s trip to Hong Kong was confident that the boss is going nowhere.

“Mauricio is sitting right in front of us here,” Levy told a press conference in Hong Kong. “I’m sure he’s not going anywhere. He loves us.”

There is no doubt that retaining Pochettino is critical to Tottenham’s aims and ambitions to become a force in European football.  The players absolutely respect and adore playing under him, which is essential if we are going to keep our existing crop of talent together for years to come.

The players know exactly where they are with Poch.  If they are dropped or not performing, he is quick to explain the reasons why.  He commands respect and it is respect he gets from all players and supporters.

  1. Pochettino is vital for the continued progression of this club, every year he’s been here we have progressed. The board must back him as much as possible. We know we are going to be financially restricted but money needs to be made available to help with his plans. It would be fantastic to win the Premier League first season in our new stadium.
