‘Licking their lips’ – Jamie O’Hara shares his Spurs v Chelsea score prediction

Jamie O’Hara has shared his score prediction ahead of Tottenham Hotspur’s Premier League clash against Chelsea tomorrow evening.

Tottenham have the opportunity to move back to the top of the Premier League table with victory over their London rivals after Manchester City moved up to first place following their 6-1 demolition of Bournemouth yesterday afternoon.

Arsenal’s 1-0 defeat at Newcastle United last night means that Tottenham are the only remaining unbeaten side in the top flight this season and will certainly be looking to improve on their dreadful record against Chelsea in recent years.

O’Hara has backed his former side to secure bragging rights over their big-spending neighbours, believing that they will run out comfortable winners under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Will Mauricio Pochettino suffer a defeat upon his Spurs return?

O’Hara told Grosvenor Sport: “This is another massive game and I can’t wait for it, because I think this is Tottenham’s best opportunity for a while to really batter Chelsea. I think they can really go after Chelsea, who just don’t look confident at the moment.

Ange Postecoglou is the real deal and he has gotten rid of the ‘Spursy’ title which was looming over Tottenham in previous years. The players are on side, they’re confident, and they’ve got a bit of arrogance about them.

“I think Tottenham will be licking their lips looking at this Chelsea side and think, ‘here we go, it’s dinner time!’ I reckon Tottenham are going to batter Chelsea on Monday and win the game comfortably.

“Score prediction: Tottenham 3 – 1 Chelsea.”

While Tottenham can go seventeen points clear of Chelsea with a win, the prospect of former boss Mauricio Pochettino returning to N17 and winning the match would take some of the momentum out of the sails.

There’s no doubt Ange Postecoglou will want to take the game to the opponents, with the usual high press, however, Chelsea certainly have plenty of threats within their side – even if their current league form does not reflect it.
