‘Like a family’ – Yves Bissouma praises Ange Postecoglou’s impact on Spurs squad

It’s pretty clear from the outside that Ange Postecoglou has transformed Tottenham Hotspur. Now, Yves Bissouma has revealed what it is like within the club since the Australian arrived.

Everything about Tottenham right now is in stark contrast to the previous regime under Antonio Conte. Long gone are the defensive ways, the miserable atmosphere, and the underperforming players.

Ange Postecoglou has instilled the club with a new sense of belief, is bringing out the best in the whole squad, and has implemented an attacking mindset which has produced incredibly exciting football for the fans.

Yves Bissouma has been one of the main benefactors of Postecoglou’s regime. Having struggled last season with injuries and confidence, the Malian has been a completely different player this year having had a bright start to the campaign

Bissouma treats his teammates like brothers

Admittedly, his last few performances have been below par, but Bissouma is clearly a much happier player right now. Speaking to Gaffer, he attributes a lot of that to his new manager.

He said: “We’re more like a family, you know. That’s the gaffer, that’s what he showed us he wants. He wants us to be a family. So that’s what we’re trying to do. Every one of us is very close.

“And me, I’m always in a good mood, so when I’m in the changing room, I’m trying to show everyone love, and make people dance, and help them relax, you know. Because you don’t know what they have and what they do at home. I try to treat my teammates like my brothers.”

Spurs Web Opinion

The togetherness of this squad really shines through, and you can see that it has massively contributed to the more confident, resilient mindset the players have. Long may it continue, and hopefully then we can properly erase that Spursy tag once and for all.
