Line Up: Chelsea v Tottenham Hotspur

Head coach Antonio Conte has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this evening’s Carabao Cup semi-final first leg at Chelsea.

This will be the eighth different League Cup tie between Chelsea and Tottenham, and the fourth to take place in the semi-finals of the competition – no sides have met in the final four of the League Cup more often.

The second leg of the tie takes place next Wednesday at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the winner facing Arsenal or Liverpool in the final.

Eric Dier drops out of the side and is replaced by Japhet Tanganga with Emerson Royal and Matt Doherty operating in the wing-back role.

This is who takes to the field against Thomas Tuchel’s side this evening:

The competition arguably represents Tottenham’s best chance of ending their fourteen-year wait for a piece of competitive silverware. It is crucial that we come away from Stamford Bridge still in the tie with it all to play for next week.
