Ryan Mason has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Leeds United.
The curtain comes down today on an eventful and disappointing season for the north Londoners which has seen them go from dropping down the table following the exit of Antonio Conte and swap a top four place for a scrap with Aston Villa for Europa Conference League qualification.
There is plenty to play for at Elland Road on both sides of the pitch with Leeds being condemned to the Championship if they fail to win, or if either Everton or Leicester City earn victories.
A draw for Everton would mean Leeds have to win by a three-goal margin against Tottenham to stay up.
The central defensive duo of Cristian Romero and Eric Dier had already been ruled out of the match through injury.
Interim head boss Ryan Mason said at Friday’s pre-match press conference that it would be a blow if Tottenham failed to qualify for European football next season.
He told Football.London: Obviously it has its implications and it’s not where the football club wants to be. We definitely want to be competing in Europe. Any European competition is important for a club this size.
“But at the same time the most important thing regardless of whether we’re in or out of Europe is that there is a plan and there is commitment from everyone to that going forward.”
This is who takes to the field in Yorkshire this afternoon.
