Line Up: Newcastle United vs Tottenham Hotspur

Nuno Espirito Santo has named his Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this afternoon’s Premier League clash against Newcastle United.

Spurs will be looking to spoil the party at St James’ Park among the sold out Toon Army following their recent takeover.

The Magpies head into the fixture winless after their opening seven fixtures for a Premier League record fifth time with Steve Bruce’s side having conceded 16 goals this season and failed to keep a clean sheet – both the joint-worst records in the Premier League heading into the weekend.

Tottenham have lost just one of their last 18 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the relegation zone (W13 D4), though that defeat did come against Newcastle (0-1 in August 2019).

The North Londoners were boosted earlier after the club confirmed that two players had received false positive COVID test results, meaning they are now available for selection.

This is who takes to the field for Tottenham this afternoon:

Newcastle United: Darlow, Manquillo, Clark, Lascelles, Ritchie, Hayden, S Longstaff, Willock, Saint-Maximin, Joelinton, Wilson

Subs: Gillespie, Schar, Shelvey, Lewis, Hendrick, Fernandez, Fraser, Murphy, Gayle

Tottenham Hotspur: Lloris, Emerson Royal, Romero, Dier, Reguilon, Nbombele, Hojbjerg, Skipp, Lucas, Son, Kane

Subs: Gollini, Sanchez, Winks, Gil, Lo Celso, Alli, Bergwijn, Tanganga, Davies
