Line Up: Sheffield United v Spurs – Kane benched

Antonio Conte and Cristian Stellini have named their Tottenham Hotspur side which will take to the field in this evening’s FA Cup fifth round clash against Sheffield United.

The north Londoners make the trip to Bramall Lane on the back of a 2-0 win at home to rivals Chelsea at the weekend, while the Blades narrowly edged past Watford with a 1-0 victory.

Cristian Stellini provided a positive injury update at yesterday’s press conference with no fresh issues picked up against Chelsea.

He told Football.London: “No, no fresh injuries. All the players are good. It’s normal after two days that there’s players who have to recover more. The squad is the same.”

Spurs are once again without Hugo Lloris, Ryan Sessegnon, Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur who are all ruled out through injury.

The FA Cup represents Tottenham’s best chance of ending their nearly fifteen year wait for a competitive trophy having already been embarrassed by Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup.

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom revealed yesterday that a number of his players have been suffering from illness ahead of the cup tie.

“Ciaran [Clarke]’s ill. We’ve got illness going through the camp. He’s not in today, got a few missing.

“Tomorrow we’ll decide on the team. We’ll have to wait and see now. If they’re fit enough and well enough to play, they’ll play.”
