Line Up: Spurs v West Ham – Gil drops down to bench

Spurs head coach Ange Postecoglou has named his side which will take to the field in this evening’s Premier League clash against West Ham United on a cold night in North London.

Tottenham are without a victory in their previous four league games (D1, L3), despite scoring the opening goal in all four of those matches and are at risk of losing three home league matches in a row for the first time since 2008, something they will want to avoid against their bitter rivals.

Postecoglou is boosted by thee return of Cristian Romero who slots straight back into the heart of the Tottenham defence after serving his three-match ban following his red card against Chelsea last month.

Spurs team news vs West Ham United

The Australian will be fully aware of the threat which West Ham pose having gone unbeaten in their last three (W2, D1) but their leaky defence continues to be an issue and have failed to keep a clean sheet in any of their past 11 top-flight away games,

This is who takes to the field under the lights in N17 this evening:

Spurs XI: Vicario, Romero, Udogie, Porro, Davies, Lo Celso, Bissouma, Højbjerg, Johnson, Kulusevski, Son(c)

Subs: Dorrington, Skipp, Sarr, Donley, Forster, Richarlison, Véliz, Emerson Royal, Gil

West Ham XI: Fabianski, Coufal, Emerson, Zouma(c), Aguerd, Ward-Prowse, Kudus, Soucek, Lucas Paquetá, Álvarez, Bowen

Subs: Mavropanos, Anang, Kehrer, Benrahma, Cresswell, Mubama, Fornals, Ings, Ogbonna
