Listen: Micky Hazard is confident Spurs star will sign new contract

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Micky Hazard believes that Christian Eriksen will remain a Tottenham Hotspur player this summer.

The Dane helped rescue three points for his side on Tuesday night when he scored a crucial 88th minute goal against a stubborn Brighton side to keep their quest for a top four finish on track with a 1-0 victory.

Eriksen’s strike certainly had increased significance when both Arsenal and Manchester United both lost their respective Premier League matches against Wolves and Manchester City last night.

Mauricio Pochettino revealed after the Brighton win that Eriksen is open to talks over a new deal but nothing will happen until the end of the season.

Spurs fans will be hoping that Hazard is right and that Daniel Levy does everything in his power to extend the former Ajax man’s stay in N17 such is his impact in the middle of the park not only to score important goals but also his ability to provide so many assists, season after season.
