Tottenham Hotspur certainly enjoyed one of their most successful campaigns in their recent history last season, as they reached the Champions League Final without compromising a top-four spot in the Prem.

Spurs managed to make it out of a tough group in Europe against Barcelona, Inter Milan, and PSV to qualify for the knockouts.

They defeated then German league leaders in Borussia Dortmund, the Premier League champions, Man City, and one of the brightest young teams in Ajax.

Despite this long run that spanned until the final in Madrid in June, Tottenham were still able to hold off Arsenal and Man United to finish fourth in the Prem.

The Lilywhites have gone on to break their transfer record on Tanguy Ndombele and have enjoyed a brilliant pre-season by beating Juventus, Real Madrid, and Bayern Munich, as well as lifting the Audi Cup.

Liverpool captain, Jordan Henderson, has now claimed that Spurs could challenge for the title this season (Express): “Everyone will talk about Liverpool and City because they won the league and were so good and we won the Champions League.

“It is easy to do that. But you have to look at the other teams. They are going to improve.

“I watched Spurs against Juventus in a friendly and they were outstanding.

“There are more teams than us and City who will be competing.”
