Liverpool handed potential injury boost ahead of Spurs clash later this month

Tottenham’s next five games are arguably the biggest in Mauricio Pochettino’s career as a manager. Spurs looked all over the place in their two previous outings against Bayern Munich and Brighton, conceding a total of ten goals in those games, and are in desperate need of a response.

While the game against Watford on Saturday is the all-important one, Spurs then have a tough trip to Anfield coming up a week later. The Reds have made an outstanding start to the season and still have a 100 per cent record in the Premier League.

While Spurs already go into the game with odds stacked against them, Liverpool have been given another potential injury boost ahead of the match.

Football.London revealed that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker is back is now back in full training ahead of the Reds’ trip to Old Trafford this weekend.

The Brazil international hasn’t featured since the opening game of the season against Norwich City after coming off with an injury in the first half. Former West Ham United stopper Adrian has deputised fairly well in his absence but it looks like the Brazilian is sure to be fit for the clash against Spurs.

Spurs Web Opinion

No matter the result against Watford, Tottenham will go into the game against Liverpool with no expectations, which could work in the Lilywhites’ favour. However, it is clear that the team’s only focus at the moment has to be to get the three points against Watford as the players desperately need to regain some of their lost confidence.
