Liverpool in talks with Spurs over using new stadium for lucrative fixture

Life at the new stadium has started off in the best possible fashion for Tottenham as they have won all of their first three games at the stadium, scoring 7 goals in the process and conceding none.

The fans and the pundits who have been to a game at the 62,062 capacity stadium have all raved about the venue, with many labeling it the best in the world.

The stadium unlike other modern-day stadiums like the Emirates and the London Stadium is also quite atmospheric, with the fans being really close to the pitch.

According to a report in the Telegraph, Liverpool are in talks with Tottenham over using the state of the art venue, for their preseason fixture against Napoli on 28th July.

Anfield is set to host numerous pop concerts this summer, and the Reds hope to relay the surface ahead of the new season. The report claims that Spurs could agree to the arrangement as they are looking to host as many events as possible at the venue in order to assist with their repayments.

While the Reds have used Wembley for their pre-season fixtures before, this would be the first time they are using another Premier League club’s stadium for a home game.
