Liverpool player claims his side are ready for anyone ahead of Champions League final

Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold took to Twitter during Wednesday night’s Champions League match between Ajax and Tottenham Hotspur to claim that his side are ready to face anyone in the final.

The England international posted the message whilst the thrilling match between Liverpool’s potential final opponents was still being played at the Johan Cruyff Arena.

Alexander-Arnold was praised for his quick-thinking during the Reds impressive comeback against Barcelona when in the 79th minute he improvised and played a quick corner for Divock Origi to produce the finish that completed their fight back from 3-0 down on aggregate to win 4-3.

Tottenham produced an equally impressive spirited performance against Ajax the night after which was watched by Alexander-Arnold in the comfort of his luxurious home. Mauricio Pochettino’s side were also 3-0 down on aggregate with just 45 minutes remaining when Lucas Moura produced a memorable second half hat-trick to book his side a place in the final against Liverpool in Madrid on June 1st.

Confidence can sometimes be mistaken for arrogance and this is not for first time the Liverpool player has come across in this manner on social media. After Tottenham’s defeat at Anfield earlier on in the season, he claimed that his side wanted the victory more than Spurs.
