Liverpool’s 23-man squad for the Champions League final; £48m man misses out

Jurgen Klopp has named a 23-man squad for Liverpool’s Champions League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Liverpool departed John Lennon airport at lunchtime to make their trip to Madrid ahead of tomorrow’s European showpiece at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Midfielder Naby Keita is their biggest casualty after he was ruled out through injury, the £48m signing from RB Leipzig (BBC) suffered an adductor injury during Liverpool’s trip to Barcelona (Daily Mail).

Liverpool’s squad is as follows:

Goalkeepers: Alisson, Caoimhin Kelleher, Simon Mignolet.

Defenders: Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joe Gomez, Dejan Lovren, Joel Matip, Alberto Moreno, Andy Robertson, Virgil van Dijk.

Midfielders: Fabinho, Jordan Henderson, Adam Lallana, James Milner, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Gini Wijnaldum.

Forwards: Rhian Brewster, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, Divock Origi, Mohamed Salah, Xherdan Shaqiri, Daniel Sturridge.

Tottenham have already confirmed that they have a full squad to choose from after heading out to Madrid on Wednesday afternoon to begin their preparations in the Spanish capital earlier than what Liverpool have chosen to do.
