Lloris adds to Spurs injury woes

Hugo Lloris will be sidelined for at least two weeks after suffering an adductor injury in Wednesday’s 3-1 Champions League win over Real Madrid according to a report by ESPN

The article says that Lloris was a notable absentee from the France squad on Thursday when it was named by national team boss Didier Deschamps for this month’s friendlies against Wales on November 10th and Germany in Cologne four days later.

Deschamps told reporters this afternoon that Lloris, who usually captains France, had suffered “a tear of the big adductor.”
He added: “He has undergone tests this morning, he’ll be out for at least 15 days.”

Lloris played the full 90 minutes as Tottenham stormed past Madrid at Wembley, however he did land awkwardly in the second half, looked set to be replaced by Michel Vorm but carried on, however after the game he told Tv Channel beIN SPORTS “I felt something when I landed” after jumping to claim a cross.

Disappointing to say the least as Lloris joins Alderweireld on the sidelines for a period, with the former hopefully back in time for the Arsenal game and we wait to hear the extent of Toby’s
