Lloris and Vertonghen among quartet who name the Spurs star who could be a pundit

There usually are not many career options available for footballers once they retire from the game.

Some decide to try their hand at coaching while a few gravitate towards the media to remain in the public eye.

Some recent retirees have gone on to become household names as pundits with Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher and former Spurs midfielder Jermaine Jenas all offering great insights into how teams set up tactically as well as the dressing room dynamics.

A few players from Spurs participated in a game titled ‘Who in the dressing room’ video segment.

One of the questions posed to the four players present, Michel Vorm, Jan Vertonghen, Hugo Lloris and Ben Davies, was who in the Spurs dressing room is most likely to be a pundit.

Vertonghen initially responded: “Mich (Vorm)” to which the goalkeeper said: “No chance.”

Davies then said: “I think Harry Winks could” to which all four players nodded in agreement.

Vorm then said: “He (Winks) would love it as well” and Vertonghen said: “Oh yeah.”

Spurs Web Opinion

It is certainly going to be an English player but I can’t see the likes of Harry and Dele getting into punditry. Winks is a good shout as he is always well-spoken. Danny Rose is another one that I expect to see a lot of in the media once he retires given how much he seems to enjoy giving interviews.
