“Lloris’ final straw” – Some Spurs fans fuming at goalkeeper after Liverpool loss

Tottenham crashed to their third defeat in four Premier League games as Liverpool overcame them due to a late own goal.

Pochettino started the game with a back 5, and with Sissoko partnering Alli and Eriksen in the middle, which left a lot of space for Liverpool to exploit.

The Reds did just that as a cross by Andrew Robertson was headed home by Roberto Firmino to give them the lead.

Pochettino switched to a back four in the second half with Vertonghen playing at left back and the change saw immediate results.

Tottenham started dictating the tempo of the match and eventually equalised through Lucas Moura.

Spurs then had multiple chances to get the winner but failed to hit the target, only for Hugo Lloris to make a mistake at the other end and gift Liverpool a winner.

The Spurs skipper failed to hang on to a cross by Salah and parried it on to Alderweiereld who couldn’t adjust his feet in time to stop the ball from going into the back of the net.
