Lloris names three Spurs stars who are ‘quite vocal’ in the dressing room

Hugo Lloris has insisted that Tottenham Hotspur have plenty of leaders in the dressing room, naming Harry Kane, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Eric Dier as those who are quite vocal.

Having a lack of leadership is a criticism that has often been levelled at Tottenham over recent years (Daily Mail).

Lloris, being the club captain, is certainly seen as someone who possesses leadership qualities, having led France to a World Cup and a Nations League win.

Spurs fans caught a glimpse of the Frenchman’s influence in the dressing room in Amazon’s All or Nothing documentary, which was released in 2020.

The 35-year-old has now said that the burden of leadership in the Tottenham dressing room does not fall squarely on his shoulders, insisting that Spurs have other players who are not afraid to speak their minds.

He also admitted that Antonio Conte and his coaching staff are never shy of voicing their opinion in the changing room.

Lloris told Tottenham’s Twitch channel: “It’s not only my responsibility. There are also important players in the changing room, some leaders, like Harry, like Pierre [-Emile Hojbjerg], like Eric Dier, who are quite vocal.

“That’s good because we share this experience together. And then obviously, there is the manager and the coaching staff.”

Spurs Web Opinion

While Tottenham arguably do not have the most vocal of leaders like Roy Keane or John Terry, it is clear that we have a squad of players who are all good eggs and extremely committed.

Conte’s admission this week that this is the best group of players, in terms of attitude, that he has worked within his career (Evening Standard), certainly backs that up.
