‘Loaded’ – Some Spurs fans do not like midfielder’s latest Tweet

Dele Alli took to social media to nostalgically tweet about netting his 50th Premier League goal for Spurs against Burnley last season, ahead of Tottenham’s trip to Turf Moor this evening.

The midfielder did come on for a 30-minute cameo in the 3-0 win over LASK in midweek but has not started a game since the 1-0 loss against Everton on the opening weekend of the Premier League season (tranfermarkt.com).

The Athletic have revealed that the England international has not travelled with the squad to face Burnley for this evening’s encounter.

Dele’s tweet has received a mixed response from Spurs fans on social media, with some still believing that he will get back to his best in a Tottenham shirt and encouraging him to keep going.

However, others felt that the midfielder sent a message by tweeting out ‘good times’ given that things are not going positively for him at the moment.

Here’s how some fans reacted to Dele’s latest tweet:

Unfortunately, I do not see where Dele fits in at Spurs given that we seem to have permanently shifted to a 4-3-3. Unless he is to adapt his game and make an impact as a number 8 within the next couple of months, I expect him to be sold in the January transfer window.
