Long-term Tottenham target sings five year contract with Man Utd

Tottenham Hotspur are said to be looking for attacking reinforcements before the end of the transfer window deadline at midnight. Several strikers and wing forwards have been linked with Spurs over the course of the past month including the likes of Jarrod Bowen, Malcom and Timo Werner, but with time ticking down, the prospects of adding to the squad now look bleak.

One player who is a long term target of the club is Manchester United striker Anthony Martial. Tottenham were heavily linked with the Frenchman in the summer and there were even rumours of a possible swap deal with Toby Alderweireld going the other way.

However, that didn’t come to pass and the striker has become an integral part of the first team at Old Trafford after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer replaced José Mourinho at the helm.

Any hope that Spurs had of landing the 23-year-old has now been completely wiped out after Sky Sports reported that the French International has signed a new deal with the Red Devils until 2024.
