Longari, Romano and Bridge take to Twitter to share their understanding of Romero’s Spurs move

Italian football journalist Gianluigi Longari has revealed on Twitter that Cristian Romero has joined Tottenham Hotspur on loan with an obligation to make the deal permanent.

Atalanta published a statement on their official site earlier this evening confirming that the Argentine international had made the move to North London on loan with an option to make the move permanent.

Many Spurs fans have been left confused over the whole situation, with Tottenham failing to confirm the structure of the agreement within their official announcement.

Fabrizio Romano also took to Twitter to comment on the confusion by suggesting that Spurs have taken the 23-year-old initially on loan due to the ‘balance’ with the option to make it permanent but reassured a supporter that it will be turned into a permanent deal.
