Looking at when Spurs vs Burnley could be played between now and January

Tottenham Hotspur vs Burnley was called off this afternoon due to heavy snowfall at Turf Moor, meaning the two sides will have to face off another day.

However, with the second half of fixtures set to take place in the new year and a busy festive schedule, when could the rearranged match take place?

Spurs play Brentford (December 2) in mid-week this week, followed by Norwich City at the weekend (December 5).

Next week, the Lilywhites have Rennes in the Conference League on Thursday (December 9) and then Brighton at the weekend (December 12).

We see another Thursday fixture the week after as Spurs take on Leicester City (December 16), followed by Liverpool at home on the weekend (December 19).

Before you know it, we have reached Christmas football! Spurs are due to play West Ham on the 22nd, Crystal Palace on the 26th, and Southampton on the 28th. A few days later and it’s Tottenham vs Watford on New Year’s Day.

So, on the face of it, Tottenham have a match every single weekend and once every single mid-week for the rest of the year.

That leaves a few options. The fixture could be played a few days after the Watford game, making Tottenham’s winter break a little shorter. There could be shuffle of the pack to make Spurs play on a Saturday, Tuesday, Thursday one week. Or perhaps it could even be played tomorrow, giving Spurs three days between Burnley and Brentford.

We still await the definitive answer, but there certainly isn’t much wiggle room.
