‘Looking forward’ – Harry Kane answers question on his Tottenham future

Harry Kane has been speaking to the press after his side emerged victorious this evening in the final game of the Premier League season, and discussed his future at Tottenham Hotspur.

Tottenham travelled to Elland Road for the final fixture of a frustrating season, and put in a much-improved performance to seal all three points.

Harry Kane gave Spurs the lead within 90 seconds with a cool finish. Pedro Porro then doubled that lead early in the second half with his third goal since joining the club in January (Transfermarkt).

Leeds pulled a goal back thanks to a fine finish from Jack Harrison but Kane bagged his second of the game and his 30th Premier League goal of the season almost immediately (Transfermarkt).

The result was complete when Lucas Moura, on as a substitute, scored a brilliant individual goal to mark his last-ever appearance in a Tottenham shirt.

Kane’s current contract expires in just over a year, and rumours are rife that he may leave the club this summer. Manchester United are thought to have the 29-year-old at the top of their summer shopping list (The Guardian).

When asked by BT Sport about what his future holds now the season is over, Kane was reticent in his response.

He said: “It is part and parcel of being a footballer [speculation about him leaving] especially when you are at the top of your game.

“I have focused on this season and helping the team as much as possible. I am just looking forward to a nice break and some games with England.”
