Some Portsmouth fans were impressed with what they saw from Harvey White after the Tottenham loanee came on as a half-time substitute in the club’s 4-0 defeat to Hull City yesterday.
White has shown plenty of promise for Tottenham’s Under-23s this season and has even been handed a couple of first-team opportunities by Jose Mourinho this season.
The silky left-footer has not looked out of place whenever he made the step up and so has now got an opportunity to impress in League One after Spurs confirmed last week that he has made a temporary move to Fratton Park until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old started on the bench against Hull but was brought on at half time with the home side trailing 1-0.
Even though Portsmouth went on to concede three more goals in the second half, some Pompey fans felt that White showed plenty of promise and admitted that they are excited to see more of the Tottenham man.
White made his Pompey debut when he came off the bench during Tuesday’s 4-0 win against AFC Wimbledon (transfermarkt).
Harvey White looks like he’ll be class #Pompey

Fair play to Harvey white coming out when he had one of the better performances of those playing in that second half. https://t.co/q1Hx8kIT16

Let's just move on to Tuesday. Jacob's will start. Also forgetting about why they came on Close did nothing wrong and played well. Harvey White now has to quicken his speed of thought up. Gradually got into the gam though, now hes in mens football

fully expect Harvey White to score about 8 free kicks for us btw. Absolute wand of a left foot

This might be clutching at straws a bit, but Harvey White's got some ability from dead balls.
Other than that we have come out second best against a team who will be promoted automatically. Reaction needed Tuesday. #Pompey

Harvey White did well when he came on. He didn't waste the ball. He looked the part, @ExpressFM. Very good performance from @Pompey and more clean sheets than a Premier Inn for @macgillivray93. Six in a row. Bingo !

Didn’t see much of Harvey White tonight considering the time that he came on and the score line but certainly looks promising and I can’t wait to see more. #Pompey

Didn’t do much wrong but similarly did his job well when it came to him 👍🏻

He looked confident on the ball, couple more games then I reckon we will see him in full force

Spurs Web Opinion
It looks like White certainly made his presence felt in the 45 minutes he got under his belt. He is only likely to get better as he settles in and gets accustomed to his new teammates and surroundings.
