‘Looks like he is staying’ – Pundit reacts to latest Harry Kane development

Reacting to Harry Kane‘s latest interview with Sky Sports, Luis Enrique has said that the striker’s words suggest that he could be staying at Tottenham.

The speculation over Kane’s future shows no signs of slowing down as we head closer to the summer transfer window.

Reports continue to indicate that Man Utd have identified the Tottenham man as their number one priority but the Red Devils are said to have apprehensions about getting into negotiations with Daniel Levy, who has a reputation for being stubborn (Football Insider).

In a candid interview with Sky Sports earlier this week, Kane admitted that the culture at Spurs needs to change as the standards have been allowed to slip over the last few years.

The 29-year-old remarked that he will give his input to Levy and to the Tottenham hierarchy on the things that can help the club get back on the right path.

Enrique believes that Kane’s words could be a hint that he is likely to stay put at Spurs beyond this summer.

Here’s how the former Liverpool left-back reacted to the England captain’s interview:

I think we need to be wary of reading too much into Kane’s words but the one thing that Spurs fans can take confidence from is that everything coming out of the club indicates that the 29-year-old is not for sale.

So, the club seem relatively convinced that the striker would be open to signing a new deal as long as they present him with an ambitious project.
