‘Looks ready to go’ – Manager reveals injury boost ahead of Tottenham clash

According to The Evening Standard, Wilfried Zaha could be back in action for Crystal Palace ahead their trip to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday with Roy Hodgson confirming that the winger is making decent progress.

Tottenham’s 4-0 win over Burnley last Sunday was a much-needed boost for Jose Mourinho’s men after five defeats in six Premier League outings coming into the game.

Not only has the win helped restore some confidence but it has brought Spurs to within just six points off West Ham United in fourth place with a game in hand.

Tottenham will be looking at their next two matches against Fulham and Palace as winnable games as they attempt to build some momentum and rise up the table.

However, the game on Sunday just got a lot more complicated with the news that Zaha is set to return for the Eagles.

The winger has been out of action since the start of February but Hodgson admitted that he is pleased with the progress he is making.

The 73-year-old said: “Quite good news, really. He’s returned to training, albeit a bit modified.

“He looks ready to go again, we’ll have to wait for the green light but it’s looking positive.

“Will be able to welcome him back very, very soon.”

Spurs Web Opinion

If we fail to get at least four points from our next two matches against Fulham and Palace, then the momentum of the thumping win over Burnley will disappear and the players’ confidence will take a big hit. So it is vital that we get decent results over the next few days to keep our top-four hopes intact.
