Lord Sugar praises Spurs star after display against Chelsea

Lord Sugar can sometimes be short in coming forward when handing out praise, but he took to social media to applaud one of the Tottenham Hotspur players following the 3-1 win against Chelsea.

The subject of the former Spurs chairman’s recognition was Heung-min Son. The South Korean’s impressive goal in the second half spurred Sugar to Tweet that Son deserved his goal for his performance.

Son wrapped up the victory, but his overall performance certainly did catch the eye. He looked lively throughout and although he did miss a number of opportunities to find the back of the net, he did not let his head drop and kept working hard. His efforts were finally rewarded on 54 minutes with his goal of the season contender.

Remarkably, the goal was Son’s first of the season for Tottenham. Following the World Cup in the summer, Son jetted off to the Asian Games where he won exemption from military service by guiding his country to a gold medal.

After this display, hopefully, it will give the player the confidence to be more prolific in front of goal.
