Lord Sugar questions Vincent Janssen’s return to Tottenham

Vincent Janssen last night made his first appearance for Spurs in any competition since coming on as a 91st-minute sub against Chelsea, 20th August 2017.

The Dutchman was brought on in the 80th minute of Tottenham’s Premier League match against Brighton with the score even at 0-0 with the home side chasing a winner to further strengthen their chances of a top four finish.

Janssen’s return left former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar to take to Twitter to question where the striker has been.

Since moving to Spurs from AZ Alkmaar in 2016, Janssen has scored just six goals in 39 appearances which left him to appear to be surplus to requirements.

He spent most off last season on loan at Fenerbahce before suffering another injury that required surgery in the summer.

Pochettino included Janssen among his substitutes for Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at Manchester City and was again named on the bench for the visit of Brighton.

Here’s what Sugar had to say on Twitter.
