‘Love this from Rosey’ – Ex-England striker reacts to Mourinho and Danny Rose argument

Former Aston Villa striker, Gabby Agbonlahor has backed Danny Rose’s decision to confront Jose Mourinho over his lack of opportunities after the two were seen clashing in episode five of Amazon’s ‘All or Nothing: Tottenham Hotspur’.

In the series, Rose is seen walking into Mourinho’s office and demanding a one-on-one with the Spurs boss before proceeding to let him know in no uncertain terms that he had been treated unfairly.

The left-back questioned why Mourinho had not given him enough opportunities despite the struggles of the Spurs defence, to which the 57-year-old insists that his decisions were based on performances in training.

While some on social media were quite critical of the way the England international health with the situation, that was not the case with Agbonlahor.

The ex-England man insisted that the 30-year-old was right to speak his mind to Mourinho and admitted that he himself had similar run-ins with his managers during his playing days.

The one thing that fans have to keep in mind is that the exchange between Mourinho and Rose could have been edited to make the argument look more confrontational as they clearly did not show the full exchange. So people must be wary of reading too much into that scene. In fact, Agbonlahor is right in saying that these sorts of arguments are common at every club as the players who are left out are never happy. I do believe, however, that Rose could have handled the situation a little better as it has ended up costing him dearly in hindsight.
