‘Loved being back’ – Jermain Defoe spotted back at Hotspur Way with Spurs

Jermain Defoe has taken to social media to admit that he loved being back at Hotspur Way this week.

Defoe scored 143 goals and provided 32 assists in 362 appearances in all competitions in two spells at Tottenham Hotspur (Transfermarkt), with the striker being the club’s sixth-highest scorer of all time.

The 39-year-old called time on his long and illustrious career last month, thanking fans for the love he has received throughout his career, while admitting the memories will live with him forever.

According to reports, Spurs have opened the door for the striker to return to the club to complete his coaching badges (Daily Mail).

Defoe did return to N17 this week and had a chance to catch up with Harry Kane, who crossed paths with him when he first made it into the Spurs first team as a youngster.

Defoe took to Instagram to reveal that he did a special interview with Kane that is set to air on Spurs TV in the near future.

Defoe remains one of the most natural finishers that England has ever produced. I would love for him to return to Tottenham in a coaching capacity as the youngsters in the academy will certainly benefit from his experience and nous.
