Lucas Bergvall won’t officially become a Tottenham Hotspur player until the summer, but the youngster has revealed he is speaking to the club regularly to discuss his imminent move to North London.
Spurs swooped on deadline day to snap up the talented 18-year-old from Djurgardens in a reported £8.5m deal (Daily Mail), beating off competition from Barcelona for the Swedish star.
Bergvall will remain on loan with Djurgardens until the end of the English football season, at which point he will join up with his new Spurs teammates.
When he does arrive, there is thought to be a clear trajectory into the first team under Ange Postecoglou, who has already spoken about how excited he is to work with Bergvall and help him develop as a player.
It is the belief of sources at Football Insider that Bergvall will actually be a first-team regular next season at Spurs.

Speaking to Sportbladet, Bergvall was discussing his transfer to Tottenham, and was asked if he’s currently in contact with Tottenham and to what extent, and he revealed he speaks to the club, but that these conversations are more about his future life in London than any discussion about football.
Bergvall said: “They try to keep their distance. It’s clear that we are in contact and they are trying to fix everything around me, but not so much about football.”
Bergvall also revealed that his family will come with him when he eventually moves to London in the summer.

Given his age, Spurs will obviously be keen to take good care of Bergvall, and his family, when they move to London, and it’s nice to know they are getting all that arranged now and keeping him in the loop so that he doesn’t have to worry about any of that.
