Video: On-loan Tottenham man scores brilliant solo-effort goal

Lucas Bergvall netted a brace on Sunday as Djurgardens thrashed Swedish second-tier side Nordic United 5-0 in the Svenska Cup clash on Sunday.

There is already plenty of excitement among Spurs fans about Bergvall‘s impending arrival at the club before the start of next season and the midfielder is continuing to show just why he is so highly thought of by so many across world football.

The 18-year-old was the star of the show for Djurgardens, who moved to top of Group D in the Svenska Cup after brushing their opponents aside yesterday.

Bergvall will be part of Tottenham’s first-team squad next season

The on-loan Tottenham man doubled his side’s lead on 11 minutes but it was his second goal of the afternoon, which came in the 67th minute, that made the headlines.

Bergvall picked up the ball in his own half and dribbled past six players before wrong-footing the goalkeeper and slotting the ball into the open net to put his side 4-0 up.

Technical Director Johan Lange has already revealed that the Swede will be part of Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham first-team squad next season (Spurs Official X).

While we have to acknowledge that the defending there was quite shocking, the way Bergvall glides forward with the ball is a thing of beauty, with the teenager evidently possessing superb balance.

It will be interesting to see if he can catch the eye enough next season to force his way into Ange Postecoglou‘s plans, or whether a loan deal could be the best option for his development.
