Lucas Moura reveals what he has been watching ‘a lot of times’ during isolation

Tottenham Hotspur star, Lucas Moura, has revealed that he has already been rewatching his own Ajax highlights multiple times during the current COVID-19 isolation.

Of course, Moura was the hero in Amsterdam last year when Spurs took on Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals.

The Lilywhites were 3-0 down on aggregate at half-time in the second leg of the match, as well as being away from home. The chances of a revival looked slim, to say the least.

However, a second-half hat-trick from the Brazilian winger, including a 96th-minute winner, sealed a place in Madrid for Spurs out of nowhere.

While Tottenham went on to lose against Liverpool in the final, the match against Ajax will forever go down in history as one of the best ever Champions League ties.

With Boris Johnson announcing a strict lockdown across the UK (Guardian) and the Premier League suspended for the foreseeable future, Moura has been looking for ways to pass the time.

When asked whether he had watched the Ajax highlights, he admitted (Tottenham): “Yes, I’ve watched this a lot of times! In this spirit, we need to stay at home and watch movies, play with the kids, enjoy the family.

“This is a time to think about life, to think about everything we can do differently and to improve as humans.”
